How information is handled when you visit this website or use the WL2048 Android game.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Winterless (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information on winterless.net (the “Website”) and in the WL2048 Android game (the “App”).

The App does not require an account, and we do not operate an App backend that receives gameplay or best-score data. The App does use Google services for advertising and consent management, which may automatically process information.

2. This Website

The Website is a static informational site. It does not use Google AdSense, advertising scripts, analytics, accounts, forms, cookies, or local storage. Our hosting provider may process basic request and security data, such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic logs, to deliver and protect the Website.

3. Information handled in WL2048

  • Local gameplay data: your best score is stored only on your device using local application storage. We do not transmit it to a Winterless-operated server.
  • Advertising and device data: the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share IP address (which may indicate general location), app interactions such as launches, taps, ad impressions or video views, diagnostic and performance information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, where available.
  • Consent information: Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) requests and stores whether a privacy message is required and the privacy choices you make. WL2048 requests ads only when UMP indicates that ads may be requested.
  • Platform data: Google Play services and related Android components may process device, app, security, diagnostic, and identifier information to provide platform functionality, deliver ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud or abuse.

WL2048 does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information.

4. How information is used

Information processed through Google services may be used to request, deliver, limit, and measure interstitial or rewarded advertising; remember and apply privacy choices; diagnose failures and performance issues; and protect the App and advertising ecosystem against fraud and abuse. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

5. Third-party services and sharing

WL2048 uses Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK for interstitial and rewarded ads, Google UMP for consent notices and privacy choices, and Google Play services for Android platform and advertising-related functions. Information described above may be transmitted to and processed by Google and its service providers under their own policies.

6. Legal bases, international processing, and retention

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, information may be processed with your consent, to provide requested App functions, to comply with legal obligations, or for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, and service reliability. Google may process information in countries other than your own under the safeguards described in its policies.

Your best score remains on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it. Google and the Website hosting provider determine retention periods for information they process under their own policies and legal obligations. We do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your gameplay or best-score data.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Where required, WL2048 displays a Google UMP privacy message before requesting ads.
  • Where available, use the App’s privacy options entry point to review or change advertising privacy choices.
  • Use Android and Google Account privacy controls to manage ad personalization or reset or delete your advertising ID.
  • Clear the App’s storage or uninstall it to remove locally stored gameplay data.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. For information controlled directly by Google, use the controls and contact methods in Google’s Privacy Policy.

8. Children’s privacy

WL2048 is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information directly to us.

9. Security and policy changes

We reduce our own data handling by keeping gameplay data on the device and not requiring an account. Google states that information automatically collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

We may update this Policy when our Website, App, SDKs, hosting, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be published here with a new last-updated date.
